My New Hobby

April 18, 2008 · No Comments

My new hobby is taking portrait photos of people’s cats. Sometimes it’s difficult to get them to “hold a pose” while my flash warms up. But it is highly rewarding when you get that perfect shot.

My company is called Fancy Cat Photography.

I specialize in taking pictures of people’s cats wearing bow ties. This is a niche. My motto is: no snap of the camera until that bow tie is snapped on. It’s kind of a long motto. Anyhoo…

Female cats are also required to wear bow ties. No one really knows (by looking at the picture) if they are male or female anyhow. It’s not like I’m taking pictures of their genitalia or anything like that. Well, I guess I do take a picture of their genitalia but it’s only for internal administrative purposes.

Please tell all your friends with cats.

Basic Assumptions About Life

October 10, 2007 · No Comments

  1. The crowd is almost always wrong. Wide is the road to destruction, narrow is the road to salvation. There is always a better idea. Brainstorming can be endless. This gets me into trouble a lot because it is fun for me but can be annoying to others.
  2. Taking action on a mediocre idea is better than doing nothing with the perfect idea. The brainstorming has to stop somewhere.
  3. Parenting is a picture of salvation and a form of sanctification. Our children look to us as father as we look to God our father. We are to hand off this role over the course of our parenting.
  4. Every thing is overrated and will (in some way) let you down. The only exception is being loved by someone.
  5. There is a direct correlation between how many people you love and how good your funeral will be.

I will keep adding to this list.

Personality Tests Can Be Enlightening

October 6, 2007 · No Comments

There are some good (free) personality test here. Go to tests.

Personality types are interesting and can reveal areas of your personality that are being used by God (your maker). Likewise, they may highlight areas of your personality that need pruning.

I’m the INTJ (Jung) personality type.  All that means is I’ve probably got you figured out and know exactly what makes you tick. I see past your big talk and right into that big fat hole in your soul.

Only 2% of the population have this personality type. So rest easy Mr. Big Talker.

INTJ - “Mastermind”. Introverted intellectual with a preference for finding certainty. A builder of systems and the applier of theoretical models. 2.1% of total population.

Who Is Bobby Sweezy - Pen Name or Alter-Ego?

August 7, 2007 · 1 Comment

bobby sweezyIs Bobby Sweezy a pen name or my alter-ego?  Who knows.  I do know that bobby is what we call a “cry baby”.

Bobby is the author of the Christian Comedy Index

Bobby is NOT so much a “Christian comedy fan” as he is a “Christian comedy analyst”.

What does that mean?  It simply means that he was not hugged much as a child.

Bobby’s Email: bobby@christiancomedyindex.com
